CARE Ministry

This ministry enables members to care for fellow members in times of crisis, illness or specific need. Volunteers offer assistance such as transportation to church or doctor visits, running errands, cooking a meal or visiting. Interested members should contact the church secretary.

Stephen Ministry:

Distinctively Christian Caregiving

New Promise’s Stephen Ministry is made up of specially trained lay members who provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties or challenges in their lives (e.g., loss of a loved one, divorce, chronic illness, job loss, hospitalization).  Stephen Ministers do not replace, but rather supplement, the pastoral care provided by our pastors.  A Stephen Minister “walks along side” one who is hurting, for as long as he or she is needed, answering Christ’s call to “bear one another’s burdens.”  More detailed information on Stephen Ministry is available by clicking on the links below.
