New Promise Lutheran Church is to be a vital, Christ-centered witness to all God's
people—reaching out through the ministries of worship and sacrament, services and
education "for building up the body of Christ." (Ephesians 4:11-13)
New Promise Children's Ministry strives to partner with you to grow and develop the
faith of your child and all who come through the door of New Promise Lutheran Church.
Here, dedicated staff, volunteers and parents make the various programs a success.
Our deepest desire is for each child to know the love of God in Christ and understand
that at church, they are loved and cared for by the community that gathers here.
Children's Ministry wants to partner with families -- from kids to adults -- on this
faith journey. We pray continuously for the safety, well-being and growth of the
children in Sunday School, Confirmation and through the various youth activities
offered throughout the year.
Sunday School – for children pre-K through the 12th grade. Sunday School is for children
of all ages and meets at 9 a.m. with a short intergenerational time together then
breaks at 9:10 – 10:00 a.m. for separate learning. Children might find themselves
in cooking, science, carpentry, art, video, Bible or storytelling class where they
will learn the Biblical story through hands on, multi-sensory learning. Sunday School
is offered during the school year only. Online registration is available.
Confirmation – for youth in grades 6 – 8. Confirmation is a time of study and learning
in the faith. Instruction is multi-faceted using media, games and interactive learning.
Each youth is paired with an adult mentor who prays for and walks with him/her throughout
the years of their confirmation study. The youth go on a retreat at least once in
the school year. See church calendar for meeting times. Online registration is available.
Fellowship - for youth grades K-5 and 6-12. Activities include movie nights, camp-ins,
service projects and more. Check the church calendar.
